Mikaela Sozo Qvinn: "Who is like God, mighty to save?"
Looking to Isaiah 63:1 we see a clear picture of Jesus after He has returned to earth marching to Jerusalem destroying the wicked and establishing His righteous kingdom as the AntiChrist and his army seek to oppose Him. It says, "Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with His garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, marching in the greatness of His strength? "It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save." This is speaking of the coming "Great and Terrible Day of the Lord" discussed all throughout Scripture (see Joel 2:11f). The rest of chapter 63 goes on to explain that Jesus is stained with the blood of the wicked that He slays in order to rid the earth of the rebellious and unrepentant who are thus not fit to be included in His eternal kingdom (all those who are sinners, those who do not repent from their sins and believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the only hope for resurrection and restoration, and thus is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, are found to be His enemies and are not included). I say all of this to say that Jesus is the only One able to save, heal, and deliver the heavens and the earth (i.e. Full Restoration) and is thus the only One worthy of worship.
The AntiChrist
There will come a man who will rally the earth together in a one world government and one world religion who will make false peace treaties and do much in the world to aid humanitarian crisis. Eventually he will declare himself to be God and demand that everyone worship him. People will not be able to buy or sell anything apart from worshiping him, and thus receiving the infamous "Mark of the Beast." The concept of "AntiChrist" comes from the character traits of this man and the spirit that possesses him and has been influencing the masses for hundreds of years. The idea that anyone except the true Messiah can save and restore the heavens and the earth to their intended fullness is 'anti Messiah' (see 1 John 2:22 & 4:3). Again, read the book of Revelation (also Daniel 7-12). So, who deserves worship?
The Revelation
With this groundwork laid I came across a verse while reading through the book of Revelation that struck me for the first time. I was struck by worship that will be given to the AntiChrist shown to us in Revelation 13:4. The people worship the AntiChrist and his fasle prophet and say, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?" This chapter is intense. I see Jesus high and lifted up above all of creation...There is no one like Him (not even close). He is God. He is the perfect leader, the Good Shepherd. He was dead, and behold He is alive forevermore. He holds the keys to death and Hades! (Revelation 1:18) He is our only hope.
Mikaela's name is a testimony to the AntiChrist and his systems that our God is the only One who is unmatched; He is the only One who can save the heavens and the earth; He is the only One worthy of worship; He is the only one Mighty to save. He will make war against the AntiChrist and all who worship him (see Revelation 13:8!)...He will crush them in His might. He is the King. Who is like God, mighty to save? Worship Him.
